See the Exam 1 page for details on the policies of the exam. The schedule will the same, taking place from Wednesday, April 20th through Friday, April 22nd.
Content
Everything up to and including lecture on Monday, April 18th. There’ll be a focus on material that wasn’t on the first three exams, but older material is still fair game.
Practice Exams
See the Exam 2 page for the past (paper) second midterms. There is also some content that was covered on past finals. Keep in mind that:
- These are relatively old questions, written for paper exams.
- Some of the material on these exams hasn’t been covered yet. Historically, when there were only 2 written midterms and 1 written final, the second midterm happened before the first lecture on hashing, and the final covered material after that.
- Most of theese exams were taken during a 3-hour period.
You can ask about the relevance of practice problems on Piazza.
Conflicts Requests
To request the conflict, email Thierry Ramais with “CONFLICT” in the subject line. Please include the following information:
- Your NetID and UIN
- Your registered section
- A short but detailed description of your conflict
Please note, though, that very few conflicts will be granted. All requests must be received by Wednesday, April 20th at 3pm.
DRES Exams
DRES extended time exams will start during the first hour of lab, and may take place in a separate room. If you have DRES accommodations, please email Thierry Ramais with “CS225 DRES” in the subject line. Include the following information:
- Your NetID and UIN
- Your registered section
Also let Thierry know what you need. Most DRES exams will be proctored in Siebel 0210, and you will be expected to report there at your regularly scheduled lab section time. All requests must be received by Wednesday, April 20th at 3pm.
